for all the people who are out in CA where all the fires are raging and all the fire fighters are risking their lives and all the families that have lost everything! I think that we need to say a prayer for them and to realize how lucky we are and no matter how bad it looks someone is having a worse day than you are!

Yeah, its easy to not think of things like that as we go along with our day to day. I wouldnt know how to deal if all Ive known were to be destroyed.

It sounds like it's getting pretty rough out there too. And I heard today that they think someone set these fires. Then I hear a couple hours later that they caught a terrorist that said there were plans to set fires like in the National forest and places of importance to us. Where are these guys gonna stop.

indeed...pray for them all
I know one of the fires was set by a lost hunter trying to set a signal fire for his friend to see

Prayers are sometimes the only thing that will help... I can't imagine losing everything to a fire... I'd be devastated .... May God watch over the familys out there....

I heard on a radio show that a 'hunter' is being blamed for firing off a signal flare. they said he was in costody. I didn't know it was illeagal to send up a signal flare. Just another way of demonizing us poor hunters. I doubt a hiker, motorist, senior citizen, animal activist, etc would have been identified in such a manner.

There are some crazy rules in California. Actually some make sense when see those tinderbox trees and shrubs in those canyons out there. I was out there surfing in '84 and there were signs all along there roads that warned you about throwing out cigarette butts.
Let's pray for the victims and the hunter who probably feels pretty doggone bad about this too.

My prayers have been said everyday since these firestorms started. If you have never fought a wildfire.....you cannot understand. I have fought wildfires....major difference between that and a brushfire....huge difference. However, this stuff out in CA makes what I helped with here involving less than 10K acres look like childs play! Unless you have been there it is dang near impossible to describe. My prayers are for all involved but especially for those at "ground zero" making the cutlines, setting back fires if they are workable, and especially for knowing that they know......these type of fires are like a living breathing monster!! Very real ones, they breathe, they live and thrive on the conditions they have, you can only pray and hope that nature intervenes. Unfortunately none of us control the weather......continued prayers will be needed also once these fires subside. The fires have been so intense when the rain hits this later this Fall and Winter.....there go the mudslides that that area is also subject to having. Prayers will continue.
