Well my plan worked out great. I had an area where the does were comeing through and then a few scrapes appeared. I made a mock scrape and hung a dripper on Sat 10-27. Went back in the next Wed. to see what was going on and found 6 fresh scrapes around mine, now he is pissed. I go in and hunt last Sat. 11-3. Hung Code Blue Doe in Estrus around and one canister of Tarsel Supreme. At about 9am I heard a deer comeing in. I look around, because it is comeing in from behind me, and see it is a buck. He stops at one of my estrus wicks and then sniffs the air and STOMPS over to my Tarsel Sup. He stops right under my stand and grisels all up, hair is standing up on his back and all. I draw and as soon as I released I knew I screwed up. I shot over him, right over him, one of the blades from my Rocket Hammerheads opens when it catches him and puts a 1 inch deep cut through his tender loin. He does not bolt out of there but rather trots off. Did not act real scared at all.
As he left I could see he back turn red from blood. We blood trail after an hour and a half wait. Found where the blood was starting to clot and then the blood trail just petered out.
What do you think my chances are of him comeing back in a week or two? I actually feel like he may.
