I took off Saturday and headed to a piece of property that I got permission to hunt in Gadsden County, near Tallahassee .Coworker said he had been seeing lots of deer but couldn't get them in bow range. This piece of property is over run with deer and needs to be thinned down so get in my stand before daylight. At 7:15 a 5pt appears and at 32yrds I grunt and send an arrow through his chest. Saturday afternoon didn't see anything but armadillos. Sunday morning moved my stand further down the same loggging road and just before daylight I make out a deer in the thick stuff behind me. I loose track of him as legal light is coming and figure he was gone for good. About 30 minutes later he steps out of the thick stuff to my right at 18yrds and I let the arrow fly. I watch him fall about 50 yrds away. Thought he was a 6pt. but he didn't have any brow tines so turn out to be 4pt. I sit down to calm my nerves and give him time to expire and figure its been 2 good mornings. I look dow the trail to my left and about 300yrs is another deer coming my way. I could tell he was bigger so I nock another arrow and he keeps coming like he is on a string. As he gets to 25yrds or so he stopslooking straight at the bottom of my tree, he' a basket 8pt, and turns broadside and I let the arrow fly. He takes off and falls within 40 yrds of the 4 pt. Roughly 6 hours on stand in 2 days and have 3 bucks down. Can't beat luck.
