Figured we'd have a report by now. Hopefully you're working up a big one for Team#3. I'll be heading out tomorrow afternoon, supposed to be a beautiful evening to hunt!

Didn't get in till about midnight. Here is the story. Morning hunt, saw nothing, just a squirl. So I came out about 10am and got something to eat. I decided to do some quick looking around for the evening hunt. I went to one of spots from last year and found ALOT of deer sign. They had been in there eating acorns like crazy. So guess where I was gonna sit in the after noon. About 4pm I got my Ol'Man climber and headed in the woods. After a nice nap in the tree stand I started doin a little grunting. Well then I had to pee so I did right out of the stand out of the corner of my eye I saw a deer at a fast walk right to me. So I shut off the deed and the deer stuck its nose right in the spot I just peeed in. Then I look and here come two more. It was moma and her twins. Moma was not so sure about thisand looked up at me at one point. I could not get a shot because they were all three right undr me. They were eating the leaves off the branches I had to trim. Finally one of the young ones steps away from the tree far enough to give me a shot. All I had was back to shoot at. Now this is the second deer I have ever shot at with a bow. I let the SPITFIRE fly and I hear a loud WHACK and the deer drops in her tracks. I see the arrow sticking out the top of the back at a 45 degree angle. I am stoked, my first bow kill and my first deer in two long years. So I look around and see moma still hanging out. She stepps into my fireing lane at about 30 yards. I figure what the hell we are aloud 2 a day. So I shoot her to. She does a high back kick and runns off. I did not figure she would go far. Igave her about 45 mins and started looking, a buddy of mine and his kid came in and helped we looked and trailed blood for a while and it started pouring down rain. We lost the blood trail in the rain and never found her. My buddy said he was gonna go back today to look som more. But did get the 50 pounder.

Aint nothing wrong with that. Any deer with the bow is a good one.
