Was gonna go for an afternoon hunt, but I just woke up... I wasnt able to hunt where I wanted, somehow I lost my pull up rope. I had it 3 days earlier when we were shooting out of a tree at jamie's. I would have swore I put it back in my dash..... I had to hunt a tree that didnt have any obstructions on one side so I could lay everything behind me while I climbed.

Saw 1 deer, 3hens and 4 Jakes today. Gettin closer. Had one blow. I dont see how it could have seen me and the wind was in my favor, but all the turkeys were under me. I think it may have spooked from them. Just as well I guess, aint anyway I could have stood up with 7 turkeys within 20 yards...

Yeah, it might have picked up a little strange scent and then the turkeys probably put it on guard.
Like you said the turkeys probably would have blown any attempt at a shot anyways
I'll be in the woods again tomorrow afternoon.

Didnt see anything this afternoon. Mike was hunting a couple hundred yards behind me and said he had a couple Coyotes chasing a deer. I had a guy on the neighboring place feeding cows. He had his truck radio so loud I could actually tell what was playing and make out the words. I heard Little bigtown and Allan Jackson...
Got to watch a Humming Bird eating out of Honey Suckles though, I thought that was cool.

We put in 5 food plots today. All have a mix of Wheat, Oats and clover.
Oh yeah, the chiggers are workin overtime this year. Got me itchin again. I cant remember the last time I had any, and they have been tearing my ankles and legs up this year.

Saw 2 does at 50yards this AM. I think Im going to move down where they are coming out. I put the cuddeback up on the scrape Ive been hunting.
