Went out to my freinds place this evening to shoot my bow and did I ever suck.Think I'll blame it on being tired after working all day.Wasn't bad at 40 yards,I could put the shots into the kill zone on the 3D buck. But as soon as I stepped out to 50 it was all I could do to even hit the target. On sunday I was bang on every shot at 50.
Friday is the opener for archery up north and we're going but I think I'll keep the shot close if I get the chance.

Did you just start practicing for this season? I do my best to try and shoot all year long to keep the skills honed in.

I hardly ever practice over 40 yds, It's just so thick in these woods that anything just about has to be within 25-35 yds before you can get get a good clean shot. Hope you can get it lined back out though.......it does get aggravating.

No I shoot year round. However I don't shoot every day or every other day, once a week thru out the summer. Last night we were shooting in a light rain with a moderate breeze.I was tired and probably tensing up as it was quite cool. DS,we shoot out to 60 yards. In most of my hunting a 40 yard shot is common. The last bull moose I got was just over 40 yards and my pard took an elk at 52 yards.
