Got that date circled on the calender.It's opening day for archery elk in southern Alberta.My friends Dad lives down there and he says he hasn't seen so many elk like he's seeing this year.He's got us permission on a few ranches and there are some really big bulls there,though I won't balk at arrowing a cow if one gets in the way.
