they do work....and work well. i wasnt all that impressed at first when they came out, thought it was a bunch of hype. but my bro in law got one and loved it.....then wally world had a bunch on clearance so i picked up one of the elcheapo drop away's made by ALLEN.....well.....they work great, are quiet, simple to install and tighten your groups up a bunch, since there is nothing touching the arrow or vanes . both of my bows are set up with them now

he uses the same one i do...it is a allen plastic...works great and is simple to install...i was useing the bisquit and was disapointed in it...switched to try it out and fell in love...haven't noticed any noise(quieter than the bisquit) and get great arrow flight...i bought mine from wal-mart at the first of archery season..for like 20 bucks to try them out...and have not been disappointed yet...might have to search the web or have a store order you one as i have only seen them at wal-mart during archery season...

I have one made by Trophey Ridge. I believe it's called the "Drop Zone" but I'll double check tomorrow. It's still new in the package. I bought it to put on my bow but then got the whisker biscuit.
I'll give it to ya if you'll send me something cool when you get it.
Let me know.

I have tried several different ones and the best for me has been the NAP Quick tune 3000. Tried the zero effect on my UltraTec as well as the Drop Zone by Trophy Ridge. Niether gave me complete clearance, I think because of my short draw length and the brace hieght on the bow, so I stuck with the quicktune and have used it for about 4years and love it. The zero effect is a great rest, have shot it on several bow belonging to other people and it definatly works and have never heard anyone say they didn't like it once they used it. The Drop Zone by Trophy Ridge was garbage. Put it on my Ultra Tec and could not get fletching clearance and after 1 week the drop down arm broke completly off. Part of the problem was my draw length and brace hieght but that doesn't change the fact that it wasn't built very well. I am a big fan of Trophy Ridge Sights and there customer service was great, called them up and after I refused a replacement they refunded my money with no questions asked. Most drop aways are great rest but they are not a cure all for bad form and not having a well tuned bow.

The only reason I am thinking of getting one is to pick up some speed. I have the Whisker Bisket right now but I have read that you lose alot more speed than I thought. 6 to 10 feet per second.

well i was using the whisker bisket too...i liked it...it works but wasn't getting great arrow flight...and then i hunted in the rain..lol..had a chance at a doe at 25 yards...shot bout 2 ft low and the water mist was terrible couldn't really see where i had hit...didn't calculate the arrow shooting thru a wet broom...lol...i gave the drop away a try and have been pleased so far...its not a cure all ....but i really haven't noticed an increase of arrow speed...

I am currently shooting a WB Original and love it.... Keeps my arrow from moving or falling or whatever while Im hunting, its always there and ready when big boy steps out.... I know the drop-aways work well but they dont kill deer any better than a WB I dont think....-tim
