Don't get me wrong, I'm sure all of us would like a nice trophy buck.......But I just enjoy just getting out there and taking in the whole hunt regardless of the results.

ya know, when I posted this I couldn't figure out where you would fit in ds. ;D I'd say a lot of folks would fit somewhere in between those three options

Yeah, I would love a wallhanger to step out every time. But, I get excited when I take a doe or small buck. Even when I don't see a deer at all, there is always something I enjoyed about the hunt. I guess there's a little of all three in me. Someone once told me that deer hunters go through an evolution in their life. At first they are just happy to be there. Next comes excitement to kill a deer. This is followed by trying to fill the freezer. Last comes the challenge of limiting ones self ( bow only, X class antlers, etc). I hope if I ever get to that last step, that I still enjoy the first.

I just like getting out there and hearing the dogs run. If I get shot that's only a bonus for me.

MY OPINION IS THAT ANYONE WHO LEAVES THE WOODS ANGRY THAT THEY DIDN'T SCORE PROBABLY SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN THERE TO BEGIN WITH. IT'S ABOUT THE TIME SPENT, WITH A KILL JUST BEING AN OCCASIONAL BONUS. AND AS FAR AS TROPHYS GO, IF YOU TRULY LOVE HUNTING, THEN ANY KILL IS A TROPHY WETHER IT BE A 12POINT BUCK OR A 2 POUND SQUIRREL

I'll wait for rack but I'm just as happy cooking, plinking and drinkin cold beers. Sometimes I'll go out without a gun.

I've only got 1 about 10 years ago, still want to go out there, my wife of 4 years don't like venison yet after I expressed that I would like to get a in-line muzzle loader she got me one for Bd/ Xmas, I'm already looking forward for fall, even if I get 0.

I like going, I like to eat venison, and I like big horns but I wont go hunting too many times without finally shooting something just because it's time to shoot something.
