Stopped by my local pro shop today to get a new string loop put on and walked out with the wrong bow. Walked in with a 3 year old ultratec and walkwd out with a brand new vipertec. I have been wanting a new bow but kept putting it off and the owner let me shoot the Viper tec , razor tec and the Mathews outback . All good bows but the viper tec just felt right. Set up and out the door $595. He has to finish tuning it and I'll pick it up tommorro

I had no intention of buying a bow when I went there but I figured what the hell, I have worked 16 straight weeks of 70+ hrs so I rewarded myself. The outback was a sweet bow but the vipertec to me was better. Hope the wife don't find out.

Ga. starts Sept 11. I got it sighted in and man does it shoot like a dream. Best bow I have ever owned.

I hate it when they shoot that good. It makes it harder to explain those 15 yards misses.

Haven't finished sighting it in but at 20 and 30 yards its dead on. Hope to have time in the next couple of days to put a 100 or so arrows through it to really see how good it groups and to see how the BHs fly from it. I'll probably try both the wasp and Muzzys. Can't wait to stick a pig with it.

Anyone intrested in a new bow should definatly take a look at the new Hoyts. I cant believe how much better this Viper Tec shoots than the Ultra Tec which was the top of the line for Hoyts 4 years ago. By the way put the BHs through it today, 6 arrows, 3 muzzys 100 gr. and 3 wasp 100gr all in a 3inch group at 30 yrds with no tuning of the BHs required. I was surprised to see how close 2 different brand BHs would group together. Now I have to choose which brand to hunt with.

YUP... you really got to watch those OPSI walked in a shop 4 years ago to buy another climber and walked out with $800 plus of new bow and add ons. I never did buy the stand. I did pick up a good deal on a used Buckshot Hotshot recently though.
