Ladder Stand

Finally got my 15 foot ladder stand finished today.Only took from Oct.till May .I have too many irons in the fire.Anyways I just have to give it a primer coat and then a couple coats of an earthtone brown and it's good to go.Also got the platform welded up for buddies stand,he'll finish up the ladder this week at work.

Seeing as niether one of us has hunted from a ladder stand we're going to take one out this weekend and set it up and get used to doing it and do some shooting from it.Did I mention it's a long weekend here?Well it is and we're packing up for three days of adventure,do some fishing,riding and lots of shooting.

Hope ya like it. I like bowhunting from above alot more. Its easier to find your arrow after the shot.

I wish I could hunt out of a Stand.Last time was a couple years ago.

deerslayer if you put that Arrow where you should,no need to hunt for it ;D

Shootin 72# if it stays in I aint made a good hit... I like the angle because its easier for me to find the arrow and then look for blood. I get too jacked up and have a hard time remembering where they were standing.

Congrats on your new Stand,I`ve had this Climber for year`s now,but I come across Ladder Stands in the woods all the time,from the Sweet one`s,to the Home-Made Ricketty 2x4 kind. I`ve climbed up in a few,they are not bad to hunt from,but in certin area`s there is not enough cover,like in a mess of Taller trees,and Wet area`s,that`s when you break out the Hanging Stand`s and tote in your Ladder.

That's just in our camp,the stands are going into a couple of areas of heavier timber and a heck of alot of deer and moose activity.
