well i finally got it figured out...went to bass pro yesterday to pick up my arrows i ordered and decided to get the fps checked out.
in my book it says the fps is 283 but it lied.
i'm only shootin' 210fps......i know it works cause i've killed critters with it but do y'all think it should be higher?
i did end up lettin' him cut my shafts down a couple inches so that should help out a tad bit but i don't know.

Don't worry about it gal. That "SHOULD BE" rated speed is based on a 30 inch draw at 70 or 80 pounds with something like 5 grains per inch. Take your short little arms... you loose speed, add some string attachments... you loose speed, put in a normal arrow weight... you loose speed. Example: My bow is rated at 314 fps. With my shorter arms, heavier arrow, loop, string leeches etc... I'm down to 265. Don't worry, it'll kill a critter if you put on the right broadhead. The only way to increase it really is go to higher poundage which would require you to start pumping some iron. I don't like my women all bulked up. Shoot more and build up. If you can pick up another 5 pounds by hunting season it'll help. IT MAY... also mean a change of arrow. Depends where you are right now and form. You shouldn't be thinking about any mechanicals or anything like that. Find you a nice sharp cut on contact head and stick with it. You do not have the UMP for anything else. I'm getting a new recurve... it's almost as fast as your bow.  ;D ;D |

my bow's maxed out at this point...50lb. pull.
i was going to try a new arrow but there wasn't much difference...i think the ones i was going to get were 3 second or ooints or whatever faster than what i have but they were $40 more...not worth it in my eyes.
hope you like your new bow.
i don't like bulky women either....ewy!!...lol.
