i've hunted 2 archery seasons and one spring gobbler season with it...this would be the second....the string is still in great condition in my eyes...it's not fraying (sp?) anywhere and it stays in a case when it's not used.
i'm debating on gettin' a new string put on but after lookin' at it i think it'd probably be good thru the spring but would need to be replaced before archery season.
what do y'all think??

Depends on how much you shoot.... but even a little it's time. I change my string at the end of the season and again at the beginning. I replace the cables every other string change. Our season ended last Saturday. My bow was in the shop for a complete lube, cables, string, loop, peep, leeches, grease the limb pockets etc etc etc. TOTAL OVERHAUL. I'll start shooting when I get it back. I'll replace the string around the end of July or first week or so in August. Just based on age... you're do. Depending on when your bird season is... if you haven't shot much you might get by alright until it's over. You need to have time to stretch the new string and cables in and readjust everything. Probably 200-300 shots.

Got the bow back yesterday. Shooting great... but the shooter is a little out of tune. Got new leeches, loop, string, cables, Muzzy Zero slide, axles, lube limb pockets, paper tune and new peep. $135. Set my sites and am ready to go. Every year once hunting season starts I shoot less and less. Every year I swear it isn't going to happen... but then it does. I shot about 40 arrows yesterday and had had enough. The snow is melting fast... I'll get at it next week.

 A string that is kept Waxed should be safe for two year unless something happens where you get a Fray. I alway`s keep my old one in my case incase of an Emergency. They say to change your Cables every other String Change,but I change mine with every string,they ain`t that much more $,gives me peace of mind  I you have ANY DOUBT.......Change It !!!!!!!!

Keep it waxed and it will be ok for good while...........
