Gonna hit one ofthe local ponds that has been restocked.....I saw a 3 poundish bass there hangin around under a tree. Seen her a couple of times. I hope she'll hit my goodies before I get tangled in the tree. ;D

I JUST got back.......That bass swatted at my popper 2 times but never hooked her. I messed with that fish for almost 3 hours......Oh well, had a good time and got some sun.

Use a throw net. HaHa. I was in the same boat. I could see the bass but couldnt get the biggies to bite until i started draggin a pumpkinseed 5 inch lizard through their bed. I caught around 10 from 3-5 pounds in the month of June.

Its good for being up north. The southerners are probally laughing at that size. I might beable to dig up some pics of some of them.

I know......you guys got em small up there. Cept the bronze backs are a bit bigger up there.
My biggest large mouth was 7 3/4 pounds. Lake Conroe in 2000.

Come on now! 8# and you are in Texas?! Just pickin man. My best is prob between 6-7 Ive caught a bunch of em that size, but cant get bigger for anything.
