I just got back. Not to bad a day. I caught 4 whites and saw a HUGH yellow cat (I say hugh....he was prolly 8-10 pounds) surface and just suspend for a few seconds. Tried to hammer some bream but they would not bit at all. I think they like warmer water before the become active. Got some good sun, too .

I'm going tomorrow if the wind will die down. I really need to get out...It's been a few weeks. I think I'll go to a friends pond and try to catch a few gill and may get lucky on some bass and crappie.
BTW---How's the casting coming, hunt4?

It' gettin better. Funny you ask . While I was out the other day, there was another guy with a fly rig and I asked him how he was gettin his distance. He showed me how he did it and I am not really throwing my forward cast hard enough. I thought it was a soft graceful move but you need to put some ass into it. So I tried it a few times and .....VOILA! It's not working EVERY time but most of the time. I still hear the leader popping some....like a whip.....but I'm working out the kinks.

You'll get it, bro. I worked with my brother in law on his casting last weekend, and it's like a light turned on! He's a stick, I tell ya! Damn scary...I may have created a monster!
