Who likes to fish in saltwater, last year I took up the saltwater side of fly fishing. Caught my first Cobia on a fly it was 47 lbs, cousin caught it all on tape. I would post a picture if I knew how?

There are some pretty good pic posting instructions in the photo forum.

If I lived closer to salt, I would fly fish it. I get to it about 5 times a year and when I do, I'd rather have faster action.
I can't imagine a cobia on a fly rod. I just about crap on myself when I hook up a white bass on my 5 weight.

It was fun, and to my suprise it only took 19 minutes. 12wt Temple Fork Rod, and a matching Okuma reel, with a fly I tied my self. Can't beat that in my book.

Sounds like a nice fish! I like to fish the salt when I can. I try to go a few times a year, if nothing else to hit some stripers in the Chesapeake Bay. I've fished salt in Mexico, the Florida Keys, South Carolina (going back there in July!), Virginia....even did a saltwater striper and bluefish tourney in Jersey. Salt is a blast!
