This is what's left of a white tail fawn killed by a cougar.We found the kill site on saturday.We were able to retrace the events that led up to this.I back tracked the cougar to where it layed in the snow in ambush.You could see where it's belly was in the snow then it stalked ahead and was crouched again.Then its tracks are long between jumps as it unleashed its ambush on the unsuspecting deer.There was hair and blood in the snow and then the drag marks where the cat dragged its prey into the trees.
