I finished up the last little bit of my blind today. It is all ready for hunting season............8 months away. Here are a few pics, so you know what it looks like. And here's what the framework looks like. It measures 5'x5'x6'6" tall. Should give plenty of room to shoot my longbow out of, and also gives plenty of room to sleep in when my wife boots me out of the house. ;D It was pretty easy to make actually, even without ever using a sewing machine before this project. I didnt save money making it myself, but I was able to make it to MY needs. I got a total of $200 into the blind.

Thanks everybody, Im happy with it. I used 1 1/4" PVC, very sturdy. The material does not leak water, at least not yet. I used 500D Cordura. I didnt put a floor in it, I didnt want the fabric to be noisey in the cold while I move my feet. The whole thing weighs about 30 pounds. Now all I gotta go is sew up a bag with shoulder straps to carry it in the 1.4 miles to my hunting spot. Hopefully I will have that done today.

Bro, go buy you a duffle bag at the Army Surplus store for that.....they are cheap. You could expect to pay bout $10 and they are tough as nails.
Also, you might think about gettin a seam sealer. You could get that anywhere that sells tents. Just in case you get caught in a drizzle.

H4F, I wont be buying a dufflebag, I just finished sewing one up. ;D ;D ;D I have adjustable shoulder straps, a cinch cord, and it fits perfect. Shouldnt be too bad carrying it into the woods. I dont think I should have done this blind. My wife now wants me to whip her up a set of curtains for the house. Bummer of the whole thing, I just ran out of thread. My sewing days are over, until I decide to make another blind.

Looks like you did a subperb (is that a word) job on it. One question, how do you know how it goes up in the dark, you have the pvc numbered or something?
