well my brother n law came over and looked at the old ranger and i definitely blew the head gaskets but he thinks that is it....don't know if fixin' it would be worth it but havin' one more person come by to confirm what we already know.
my new ranger does have a governor switch so that's why it was tryin' to die at 90...guess i'll just slow down. ;D

You can get a chip for about 200 bucks. It will get rid of the governor and change shift points for a harder shift and improved economy.

It's tryin to die at 90? Where in the hell in Florida is the speed limit 90? See if you can find a mechanic at a high school to fix it. When I was a kid, the Auto-Shop guys fixed my car all the time. I just had to pay for parts. Also, our church has a mechanic ministry (thank God for redneck churches!! ). Every Saturday afternoon they meet at the church parkin lot and fix cars for people that can't afford the work. See if a local chuch has a simular ministry.

ds- can't do that or it will void the warranty....which doesn't bother me...only hit 90 while passin'....i just wanted to know if it was broke or not and it's not. ;D

Hi All, Just blown gaskets and you are not sure whether it's worth fixing? may jus pop it in the post and I will fix it ;D Me I wish I couldn't afford the fuel to run it over here
