After the near accident I had yesterday im thinking about changing my board name to "BENCRAPPING". I hopped into my 1984 Ford F250 4x4 yesterday to go get my last two treestands. I turned onto the paved road and headed for my hunting area. I was cruising along at 55mph when all of a sudden I lost control of my streering. At first the truck drifted into the oncoming lane sending two other trucks onto the shoulder. I then managed somehow to get the truck back to the right and onto the shoulder. I slid another150 ft. before I the truck came to a stop about 15ft. from a 4ft. deep ditch. The passenger side tie rod had popped off. I managed to pop it back on and tied it with an old bowstring that I had in my bow kit. I crept along and made it back home safely. Im selling the truck. First $1000 takes it.

Glad you weren't hurt. Had the same thing happen in a Ford Ranger, Luckily I was coming to a stop at a stop sign when the tire rod came off the pitman arm. Like you I tied it back on and limped on to the house.

maybe you should change you name to benlucky, that could have gotten ugly in a hurry. Well hopefully you will stay healthy so you can stay benhuntin.
