I just ordered a Magellan Meridian Gold, with the Topo mapping. Should be here around the 27th or so.

I have the orginal Etrex and i like it but my dad just bought a Extrex Legend and it is a touch better. He said a guy at work has the Vista and said that he wish he would have spent the extra 100 bucks and got it b/c it has a mousepad and other nice features.

I just got the legend. Still learning to play with it. Found my way home from the grocery store today. It's about 1.8 miles and it only took me 23 minutes.

Honestly, it's got a lot of neat things. I was told if you want to get into the mapping really heavy get the Vista but I didn't really want to spend the extra $100. I was given the basic etrex for Xmas and took it back to Bass Pro and upgraded to the legend. It has a basic built in map with all the major roads etc. I'll buy the TOPO software when my wife isn't looking.
