i agree with you but in this case the police acted in self defense....at least from what i saw.
once that man went after them and then still refused to give up he got what he deserved....any idiot knows not to fight when you're gettin' arrested...if you do they are trained to do whatever they need to do to protect themselves.

If I were one of the cops I would have shot him. He was too big a dude to be pumped up on whatever he took to try to contain by hand.

Seems like the police had to do what it took to restrain the man and protect themselves. Unfortunatly the man had a bad heart. The determining question would be if any other person of normal good health would have suffered the same consequence. From what was described, it doesnt sound like it. Everyone involved should be held accountable for their actions. INCLUDING
THE IDIOT who started the whole mess.

All I know is I was taught to respect the police and do what they tell you. If they ain't right that's what the courts are for but don't give the police no trouble.

i learned that too.....when i got arrested for calling that deputy a "pee-pee" a couple years back i went limp when he broke out the handcuffs;D....(and usually i would have NEVER said anything like that to a policeman but he wouldn't arrest the two idiots that jumped hm and i when we left denny's one nite..... because there weren't any witnesses  ...even told him to arrest all four of us and let the courts handle it but he wouldn't. judge was on my side in the end. ;D |

All I can say is I would hate being a police officer responding to calls like this. They are in a no-win situation. If a 350 lb man is resisting arrest, how do you arrest him without force?
