I know there is no such thing. Here's the deal. I have a new Ruger 77 MK2 in 22-250 and want to put a scope on it to try it out. Just don't want to drop $500.00 on a Leupold that I don't need. Odds are 10 to 1 that this gun will be sold or traded and a leupold would take it to the $1000.00 mark. Hard to get rid of. I'm thinking Tasco, anyone know about tasco's scopes? Good or bad?

I've got three of them. I have had no problems with any one of them. I have one for my Nylon 66 that is 31 years old it works great. The Tasco World Class 3X9X40 is about 15 years old and it has been a dream. The Tasco 3X9X32 on my 30-30 has been a rugged performer for 12 years.

I had a Tasco 3x9x40 on a gun that I have since sold. I never had any complaint with that scope.
I think I paid about $35 for it at Wal Mart.

Shorthair, GoTres Thanks for the info. I have never used a Tasco scope. Was just wondering about a scope that is priced so low. This will most likely be the one. www.midwayusa.com/rewriteaproduct/411903

Funny you posted this....there is a simular thread in the Rifles forum.
I would love to be able to buy a nice scope. All I've ever had was Tasco. I have a Tasco 3-9x40 on my 7mm and it's dead on at 300 yards.

Swift makes a good scope for the money, about the same as price as Tascos but they come with a lifetime warranty.

Hunt4 --- Yep, seen it on rifles after I posted. Kalib & Gulfcoast -- Thanks --- I'll take a look at those scopes. Slayer ---- $15 -- you say you will give me 15 ---- Hummmm --- That is 50% profit, let me think about it. Naw, think I can get a little more than that. ;D

If I were to buy a simmons the 44 mag would be as low on the pole I would go, I have one on my ML but wouldnt have one any cheaper on a centerfire.
