AMEN Sister. I went to Walmart the night before Halloween, and they already had their Christmas decor up. Christmas has been made into the commercial holiday.

I decided last week that I was going to beat Wal-Mart to the punch next year. Starting July 5th, I am going to greet everyone "Merry Christmas!" ;D I asked the greeter Thursday where I could find the swimwear.

The oldies stations that my wife listens to have been playing almost all Christmas music for a week now. I told her, you might try this as well, call 'em up and tell 'em you don't like it. A business will react to it's customers. Of course when I called the classic rock station and asked them to play more music and less "Johnboy and Billy" they said tuff luck buddy. We are on the verge of going with either XM or Sirius. Oh yeah if you don't get a positive response from your local radio station call your congressman and senators. Tell them that this consolidation of media companys is hurting the consumer and to stop the FCC from allowing all these mergers. There are 15 radio stations in Augusta but they are all owned by two companies. The quality of the programing has gone to hell since they bought out all the locally owned stations. It's gotten so bad on the station I listen to Neal Boortz and Rush Limbaugh on that they run the commercials into the show. They run the commercials and then say "We join our program already in progress". You might miss several sentences or what the new topic is. Okay enough of my current crusade.
