From North American Hunting Club News-
According to a recent report from CNN, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PeTA) is set to acquire stock in Outback Steakhouse and casual dining chain Applebee's.
The anti-hunting organization already currently owns shares of the Denny's chain of restaurants and Chili's parent Brinker International, as well as stock in Hormel Foods, Tyson Foods and Pilgrim's Pride.

Red Oak ---- You never know, PETA and their like's are a bunch of %&*# fools. This link will get you the lowdown on PETA and anyone and everyone that would threaten to take away our way of life. -------- SenecaBow www.ussportsmen.org/wlfatemplates/register.cfmPETA Plans Shareholder Campaigns to Promote Animal Rights Agenda- (11/14) National Join our e-mail alert list People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has a beef with businesses that slaughter animals and put meat on the menu. It has purchased stock in several restaurant companies and fast food chains and is gearing up to take its animal rights philosophy directly to the shareholders. Bruce Friedrich, PETA spokesman, said the organization will use shareholder resolutions to bring its campaign against animal cruelty “into an actual agenda, and companies will have to address it.” The animal rights organization has been vigorously working to purchase stock in Hormel Foods, Tyson Foods, Pilgrim’s Pride, Denny’s, Chili’s parent company Brinker International, Outback Steakhouse and Applebee’s. It is buying 50 percent over the minimum number of shares required to submit a shareholder resolution. “PETA won’t be satisfied until we’re out of business,” said Tyson spokesman Ed Nicholson. He said that the animal rights group campaigns against companies with significant brand identity because of the attention it will draw. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Information on this website can be reprinted with a citation to the U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance and www.ussportsmen.orgFor more information about how you can protect your rights as a sportsman, contact The U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance, 801 Kingsmill Parkway, Columbus, OH 43229. Fine Peta does actually manage to piss enough money away in a takeover and ram its policy through. Just because ANY of the named companies goes under that dosen't remove the DEMAND. Another, or a new company will arise to fill the demand.
This is so dumb a child would find it stupid. If there was only one distrubutor of meat products and Peta managed to take them over and stop selling meat, they MIGHT have a slim chance of being succesfull. However there are numerous, plus take into account the public backlash from the average Joe who could give a crap about deer or any game animal but you are dicking with his favorite resturant etc. This is not going to raise money for peta or make them friends. Hey besides us enemies of peta can point out that they are owners of the "enemy".
