Hello everyone, It's been a while. I have just recently purchased a T/C Encore. It's a 209X.50 cal muzzle loader. and yes, it can quite easily be switched from a .17 rimfire to ( I believe ) a .500 S&W, or larger. I think there's more than two dozen different calibers, including rifled & smoothbore shotgun barrels that can be switched. You have to purchase a different forearm to go from muzzle loader to rim/centerfire & vise-versa, but the process is quite simple. My barrel is 26" stainless on black synthetic stock & forearm. I absolutely love the setup. I'm considering getting a 209X.45 cal barrel & working up some loads for it. It's great to be here & sorry it's been so long since my last visit. Best of luck to all the hunters, be safe & may God-Bless all. Wayne.

Congrats on the new gun.
I have the Contender and took my first deer w/ a .44 mag 10" barrel last year. Also, harvested some squirrels w/ the 410 shotgun barrel.
Not an Encore, but I do all my hunting w/ a single shot H & R now. I have the 12 ga barrel, 30/30, and a .223. Can't beat it in my opinion.
