Hello to all. I was able to get to the range today to try out my new Kodiak Double-rifle. The only bullets that I had/have available to me at this time are the Powerbelt 348 grain copper-covered hollow points. Needless to say, my heart about sank when I tried to seat the bullet on the powder. I just about had to pound the bullet down the bore. I e-mailed the (well-known) outfit that I purchased it from, to see if they would/could give me any recomendations of the bullets to use. If not, I may resort to an old trick I used to do to break-in muzzleloader bores without having to "shoot it in". I also took along my trusty old .50 caliber Pennslyvania Traditions cap-lock. It has a 1 in 32" twist, and I'm happy to report that with the Powerbelt 245 grain (copper) hollow-points, AND the Traditions 245 grain "T-Shock" bullets, I made a 4-shot group of 1 1/2" @ 50 yards, with 100 grains of Pyrodex "P" powder. (I prefer to shoot the faster-burning powder out of a shorter 24" barrel) I shot two each of the bullets intermittenly, with great results, as the target proved. Sorry that I can't take or post any photos at this time. I'll pass on info about the .54 Kodiak, as I find out. God-Bless & Good Shootin'.

I've just checked my e-mail, and have already received an answer in regards to the bullets: I was told that those are the bullets specified for that rifle. I guess I'll "season" the barrels, and try it. Thanks. I'll keep y'all posted.
