I sighted in my 50 cal Remington 700ML, 3-9 Nikon Buckmasters scope, using 90 grains Swiss 2F (equivalent to 100 grains of Goex 2F or Pyrodex RS/Select), bore buttons over the powder, & Navy Arms musket caps, with the 300 grain Hornady SSTs (same bullets as the TC Shockwaves, which are made by Hornady for TC), last Saturday. Man are these sabots impressive, at one time, during 6-6 1/2 hours of shooting, I had a 5/8" 2 shot group at 100 yards, in the bullseye, the 3rd shot opened the group to 3/4". After sight-in at 100 yards I shot them at 25, 50, & 75 yards to find out what the trajectory was- 1" high at 25 yards, 2" high at 50 yards, & 1 1/2" high at 75 yards. These things are gut-bustin tight, I would not suggest using a wooden shafted short-starter or ramrod to seat them, it takes too much pressure and may possibly break the wooden loading tools and driving them into hands or arms, use brass or aircraft aluminum with t-handles. I am extremely pleased with these bullets, now bring on the deer, hogs, & coyotes. ;D While cleaning the gun at home, I discovered that my scope was still set at 3X, and realized I had not put it on highest power, which you are supposed to do with a non-adjustable objective, at 100 yards or more, now I wonder if I could have tightened up the groups even further?
