MD's late season starts Saturday. Wish me luck, hope to finally see a buck during ML season. I've been told that they are starting to drop their antlers. I'm ready, Remington ML700, mossy oak stock & blue steel, Nikon Buckmasters 3-9 scope, 80 grains Swiss powder (equivalent to about 90-95 grains Goex), 350 grain T/C Maxi-Hunter bullet, Navy Arms musket caps.  |

i am glad to hear you say ,buck, i too am after a buck. we cannot use scopes and we must use flintlocks only here in pa. i missed a 10 point with over 20 inch spread at 10 yards with 3 shots with a rifle. maybe my luck will change with open sights .it gets real cold here in pa. now. brrrrrrr. it gets to 5 degrees,oh my.its hard to hunt now. i have over 20 miles of hunting to myself now. i used to dress up like davy crockett years ago but you have to wear orange now and kids laugh at me. heck, i am only 50, old man , ha.those kids ride around in cars with heater on,ha. take care and good luck. |

Commanche, I can take a buck and a doe in late season. I will take the doe, and if I see a buck, a buck also. I hunt for meat and will always do so.

It SUCKED, I could only hunt 3.5 days of the 16 days(due to working 10 hr nites), and only saw deer on 2 days, 4 does late on the 3rd & last day of early ML and 1 doe during a blizzard on 1st day of late season. Still have not seen a buck while carrying a ML!!

I have all my tags too this year.
Hopefully I'll get rid of some turkey tags this Spring.
