Are they really worth the price? I just cant justify spending all that money when my 300 dollar Remington is killing just as many birds as my buddy's 1200 dollar Benelli know what I mean. Just wanted some opinions but Im not buying one. Ill stick to the tried and true Remingtons.-tim

Yes,I'd say they're worth the money.I'm not knockin the Remingtons,I have two of them,an 1100 and an 870.I also have some high end shotguns that are a joy to shoot and worth every penny I spent on em.

Go shoot one and see. I have a Beretta Xtrema and I wouldn't take anything but another Xtrema in wetlands camo for it. The Benelli is very similar to the Beretta.

i have an M1, that was on sale as the M2's were coming out. i freakin LOVE it. kinda wish i'd have spent the extra coin on the M2, but that was going to be alot more coin
easily the best shooting and pointing gun i have ever shot. and it will take a beating. i'd buy another tomorrow if i could. one of these days, i will have the money and will snatch a used M1 up when the right deal shows up

They are great guns. The recoil operated action is very dependable. It can take much more dirt in it than a gas operated gun. I'd buy one if I duck hunted a lot. I still use my old 835 for ducks. It never fails to shoot & its cheap enough that I don't mind beating it up in a blind. I'll be honest though, I'd rather have a high end O&U by Beretta or Parazzi for wing shooting. You can't beat the balance of a O&U.

I agree about the O&U. I really like the balance of a high end O&U. I hope to get one of the new Beretta O&Us. I've shot my best trap doubles scores with a Beretta O&U.

I don't fault anyone for their financial success and the ability to own the expensive toys they want. Just like everything else in life I've found it's the individual who is to blame or praised as the case may be. Years ago met a nice young man that was also very well to do and had gotten bit by the turkey hunting bug. He had the matching camo everything even down to the socks and soles of his knee high snake proof boots. He even bought a tricked out Lincoln Navigator that was bigger than my home. He also had a new Benelli and thought it could do everything but make babies! ;D He asked me if I'd take him turkey hunting at my club. I said sure, no biggie. We go down the night before, but before we leave he asks if we can go in my Tacoma, because he doesn't want to get his Navigator tore up. I should have known then, something wasn't right, but I said OK. We get there and he does a good job of fitting in and not trying to be a know it all and I think maybe my previous worry was unfounded. Following morning we go out and I hoot and get a gobble answer and off we go to find him. It's dark, but theres enough morning light showing through to allow you to see where you're going. Still, buddy makes more noise than Genghis Kahn and his Mongol Hoard when they sacked western Europe. I think we're close enough to set up and tell buddy to put his back against this oak tree. He doesn't want to do that because he's afraid bugs will get on him. He tell's me this in a voice louder than an artillery barrage. I tell him the bugs won't hurt him in a VERY quiet voice hoping he'll take the hint. He doesn't. Now he say's that it's too dark and he'll sit on a rattle snake. I tell him he's not going to sit on a rattle snake. He says if he does I have to suck out the poison. I THINK he's serious! He won't shut up and when I try to call the turkey, you guessed it, he was 1,000 miles away. Tried the next day and couldn't find any birds to open up to us. So for the remaing afternoon, we sat overlooking a field we planted. But, even after I told him 100 times he needed to sit still and not talk, he kept moving around like he was a dancer on "Soul Train" and talking more than women at an AARP convention. I never took him again and didn't see him for another year, and when I did see him again I found out he'd sold the Benelli, the Navigator and the matching camo. He was NOW into paintball games. I hope he's happy! ;D
