I hear mixed reviews on Stoeger. Some folks don't think you can get a good gun for less than you'd pay for one of the "B" guns (Browning, Beretta, Benelli). The B's are great guns and I wish they fit my budget. I'd love to have one. I know a guy who bought a Stoeger O/U and had to send it back under warranty but says it's working fine now. Don't know what the issue was.
I'm PM'ing you a link with some info and opinions from Stoeger owners. Hope it helps. I'm hearing about $330 - $350 for a wood stock and a little less for the synthetic.

stoeger is the only company allowed to use the inertia recoil system (because they are owned by the same people). basically the stoeger M2000 has the same guts as a beneli M1. when i get the cash, i'm getting this gun

Well here is a update on the 2000 Stoeger,I bought the synthetic gun, 24" barrel, this baby will shoot, I put the turkey choke tube in with Win. #6 turkey loads , 40 yds ain't nothin, I have been shooting a 12ga 1100 for many ,many years now and I guess the first thing I noticed about the gun was the recoil, it ain't much more than the 1100 , just a different kind of recoil ya might say, NO COMPLAINTS HERE AT ALL WITH THIS GUN wished I had bought one sooner , may look into buying the wood version before long , oh the price for the syn was 369.00 399.58 total price with tax and all, wonder how many of these could ya buy for the price of the BROWNING , BENELLIS ETC , just wished I would have bought one a long time ago is my ONLY COMPLAINT

Bro, I have been eyeballing the Stoeger Condor. That's the O/U 12 ga. in the 26 inch barrell. Thay only want $369 for this thing. It's a pretty gun but nothing fancy.....no carvings, etc. I looked it over a few times....milled receiver, walnut, no loose parts......I could not find anything wrong with it. I also looked at the Uplander (SxS) and found it to be consistant with the others I looked at.
