I have a old 835 Mossberg turkey special in camo. Its been abused all its life & the camo still looks great. I was worried about its lasting but after 10yrs of throwing it around & beating the heck out of it I'm impressed with the finish. Its been dropped in mud so bad I had to put it in the lake & wash the mud out to get the action to open. I sloshed it around in the lake till I got the mud out & was able to duck hunt with it the rest of the day. I bet my Browning Gold would have been finished for the day if it had been there. I was looking for a 870 when I got the 835. I found it at a pawn shop.It was nib.The shop owner said the guy who pawned it came in right after Christmas & sold it.He figured he got it for a present & wanted money instead. Its been worth the $250 I paid for it. It had 4 chokes with it. I have a Wingmaster 870. Its got to be 30 yrs old & its never failed to shoot. A 870 is one of the best pumps made IMHO.
