I got a chance to pick up a remington mod 700 with a 3x9x50 nikon scope in 270wsm but haven't heard much about the caliber since they first came out. Anyone got one or know more about them. Are they that much better than the standard 270cal. I can pick up the gun for about $349.00

Ive shot one in a BAR with the BOSS. They guy that bought it loves it. I think it is supposed to have a little more ass than a 270 somewhere between it and a 270 weatherby mag.

Hey I was just thinking. Since its a Remington are you sure it isnt a 270SAUM? I dont think Ive seen anything but Brownings and Winchesters chambered in WSM calibers.

I'll have to double check but I am pretty sure the barrel was stamped 270wsm.They also had a browning A-Bolt in 270 but didnot have as nice a scope on it and it the barrel had a little pitting on it. I know both are good guns but wasn't sure about how much differenc there was in the calibers.
