I have shot some 117grn Honady light Magnums in it. Still aint happy... Im thinking it may be the scope. I dont think Im going to shoot it anymore until I upgrade... Its still shooting good enough to hunt with for most people (2" or a little less at 100yds) but yall know how I am.

I have been thinking about taking the scope(bushnell 4-12x40) off of the Remington 742 and putting it on the 25-06.

Have you looked at the Pine Ridge scopes in Cabelas? I have one, and love it. A couple friends just bought them also, and they really like theirs. Good scopes, and great prices.

I would compare it to a good Nikon. Very clear optics.

Thats the scope that I have on my .223 Handi-rifle. Clear as can be, I really like mine. You cant beat that price for a clear scope.

The 4-12s were on back order. I started to order a 3-9x50 Pentax, but decided to go with the Pineridge 6-18x44 instead.
