I'll go with the 7mm only because I have one.
The 150gr. Winchester Power Point + will put down anything I hunt.
3 years ago, I got a frontal shot on a 325 pound hog and that bullet put him down like I cut his legs out from under him.
I have ALLOT of faith in that caliber.

I shoot Hornady Custom 150grn in my .300 mag. Shorthair can tell you how good it shoots. I have a tremendous amount of faith in my ability to kill a deer with it. Ive gut shot deer at well over 200yds and droped em in their tracks. Im glad I shoot a little better now than I did when I first started....

Don't really care for either caliber myself, but if I had to choose 1 it would be the 7mm.
I personally like 243's & 308's. Flat shooting/ low recoil.

That's a tough one, I've shot the 7mm and they are awesome.......then I've never heard a bad word about a .300 magnum either.
I'll not vote and say you wouldn't go wrong either way.

I'm .30 caliber fan from way back. If I ever get to go west for an elk hunt .300 WinMag will be my gun. Of course for around here 30-30 or .30-06 is perfect.

I have had both and liked the 300 mag. better.You have more chooses in bellets.With the 300 you can go from a 150 grain to a 200 grain bullet.But thats just my opinion..
