was so impressed with my wife's that I shot and killed the big buck with last year that I'm getting me one for the thickets. Ain't got any shots in this area over about 75 yards and that 240 gr, soft point bullet does one heck of a job in the brush. Couldn't find me a 35 Rem. so I'm settling for the 44.

Mud I can tell you that I have a Browning Model B-92 in the 44 and it is one heck of a gun, but I have a marlin model 336 in the 35 rem(it is a lever action not a pump)and you aren't going to find a better round for deer hunting, hog or what ever medium size game for a brush gun, I have both and would go with the 35 rem any day of the week, unless I could find a 358 rem, which is a 35 rem bullet in a 308 cart, and there aren't many of them around, if you go to www.gunsamerica.com/www.gunbroker.com/www.auctionarms.com/you can pretty much find any gun that you want. I have bought a few off the internet and done fine, never got ripped off or anything Hogman there are some pumps on there I think they are a model 141 rem. (if you search "35 rem" all of them will come up
