Hi All, Sorry the pictures are not the best nor to my usual standard I will take better one in a few weeks after I get moved. so far I have test fored the 303 No4 conversion and the BSA Monarch 270, only at a short range just for function testing. The 270 I have found after really cleaning the barrel has pitting with one bad patch 1" in from the muzzle so unless it's an outstanding shooter this is a candidate for a new barrel later on. The 303 shows promise but I need to get it out onto a range to try it properly at 100 yards with a selection of ammo, it shot low at 30 paces with the Winchester 180 Grn SP I was using. Hopefully I will be picking up some Winchester 100 grn 6mm Rem ammo on Friday but god only knows when I will get the chance to try it out. The next couple of weeks are going to be hetice to say the least. What does not show in the pictures is the grain of the wood especially that of the Roe Wood tips. A BSA CF2 I have the Rose wood is so dark that no grain is visable but the other 3 BSA's all have beautiful grain showing. The walnuts stocks grain is plain with little figuring at all, this makes for a strong stable stock if not visually appealing it's very practical.

Hi All, Well I didn't quite do as good as it sounds overall you see I traded a Military BSA Shirley manufactured No4 T which had no scope or mount. It had been rebuilt and restocked so was not original, I then replaced the Birch Savage butt with a new walnut one and had the fore wood replaced and it bedded to mil specs. But for some reason I never took to it Hence the trade I tried to sell it at a show in March that's when I hooked up with this dealer for the trade, now he had several rifles I would like, one was a BSA Commercial No1MK111 with a mag cut off made for the Bahrianian Police force then the others I have mentioned so a deal was struck and I went away to get the licence varied to allow the trade. Be thankful that you do not have go through this rigmarole the No4 sporter cost about $504 ............. yep that's right $504 and I had $795 in the No4T so over all I lost $66:60 on the deal. Although I did have the No4T to play with for a year or so. Now the P-H 1200V is where I made out like a bandit, this one also involoves the Baikal .222 break action single shot which I picked up for £100 ($180 US) but as I didn't have any money being unemployed I did a deal with a friend who is a dealer and whose dealer friend was sharing his table at the show had the Baikal for sale for £140 ($252). I had and have had for some years a Steyr M95 carbine which I know Chris collects so we did a deal and he brought the carbine for £120 ($216) I had paid less then that some years back, I also got hold of a Czech made bayonet for it as the carbine had been issued in Czechoslovakia in the Brno district and I also had quite a few clips for the ammo. So what with the bayonet and stuff Chris owed me £65 ($117) I saw the P-H rifle at the show and he had £125 ($225) on it I looked at it again and he dropped the price to £100 I then said keep the money and we will deal on this so I gave him a few pounds of venision and £20 for the rifle so the price ended up at £95 ($171). So I got both the Baikal and the P-H 1200V for $351 ;D now that WAS a DEAL. Oh I also came away with two Baikal single barrel shotguns, a 12 bore ejector (2 3/4") and a 20 bore non ejector with 3" chamber for $45 plus some venison in the future as his small freezer was full ;D I will get some photos up some time when I get time to take some. Both guns had some surface rust from poor storage but I spent a little time and cleaned it off. I am wondering if I can't fit the 20 bore barrel to the rifle action to make a combo. It nearly closes but not quite. I have worked it a little but I need to do some more and I think it will work ;D Make a good Turkey combo you think, a .222 Rem rifle and a 20 guage 3" shotgun barrel on one frame. methinks it would be ideal for places where you can use a rifle. Long shots pop on the rifle barrel with scope and for close up switch to the shotgun ;D
