I always just shot as soon as I reloaded and got back on target. It might take a minute to get the crosshairs like I want em, but I dont wait on the gun to cool. Just wondering how yall do it. And if it will make much difference.
EDIT: I will wait on it to cool between groups though.

I usually take my time when sighting in a rifle or target practicing, but the barrel is usually still warm when I shoot.

The only way to shoot a cold bore shot after a shot is to let the barrel cool off for one hour. Dont know about you, but I wont wait that long. My 700 will shoot 1/2" moa ona five round group all day. As a matter of fact, I was making head shots out to 384yds yesterday in a good 8-10mph wind.

I pretty much shoot as soon as I reload and get the crosshairs set on the target.

Depends on which gun im shooting. I generally wait about 5 minutes between 3 shot groups when sighting in.

I usually shoot 3 shot groups & let the barrel cool a bit between groups. Its still warm but not hot before I try a new group. I usually take several guns to the range so I don't have to wait between shots ;D

When sighting in my rifle for hunting I let the barrel cool off between shots.Your first shot when shooting at game the barrel is cool. And the first shot might be your only shot.So I let it cool. But if I'm just out shooting I just load and shoot.

I go for real life. I shoot as soon as I get the crosshairs in position.
