Im looking at some new rifles right now, because im sick of shooting my right handed rifle and been left handed, i do ok its just a hassle carrying it and having to work the action when im in a hurry, so i checked out some new rifles nd found out the left handed market isnt that big, remington only offers 8 rifles in left handed, but winchester offers quite a few but ive always shot remington guns and dont know much about the model 70 so do they compare to the 700? thanks

I think anything you buy from the big 3 (remington, winchester, browning)will be a good gun.

You may want to take a look at the Tikka's unless you want a synthetic stock. They guarantee a 1" 3 shot group @ 100yds out of the box. I have a left handed Whitetail Hunter with a maple stock in .270 and it is a tack driver. I semi retired a 27 year old BDL 30.06 but still manage to take it to the woods a couple times a season. Good Luck

Thats neat. Lefties are scarce and ambidextrous is hard to come by, by nature of design. My cousin/neighboor is a south-paw and he is small. He takes his middle finger and reaches through and flips the saftey off on his SKS (also the best SKS I have ever shot. [unissued Chinese]). He says this is the best he has got ahold to as far as any ambidextrous riffle. I know it isn't bad on me lefty. I feel for you trying to buy a bolt. Hey the Browning .22 semis eject down in your shirtsleve! ;D The little pyramid thing on the M-16's A2 and post do actuall work. Unlike the plastic "here go away" thing that didn't. I like being able to shoot "lefty" when I want so I kinda feel ya. Where is hunt and some other righties that have shot lefty?

You could do alot worse than a Winchester Model 70. It is as fine a rifle as you would want for hunting. Especially if you can't afford an A-bolt Browning. ;D
