I want to get a new scope for the 25-06. I dont think I want another leupold. I have been wanting either a Nikon or another Weaver. Do any of yall have any experience with either of those 2? How would they compare with a VariX II or III? Ive been stuck on leupold for a few years and want to try some others out.

I didn't know Weaver was still making scopes. I have have three scopes my whole life and they are all Tascos. So I'd say Tasco is okay, for the money that is. ;D

I like the Weaver scopes I've had, still have one,4x wide field view, duplex crosshairs.I've had that one for 25 years and it's still as good as the day I bought it.
I don't like variable scopes so I stick to the fixed power scopes.

Ds, check out a Burris 3x9-50. Very clear, and alot less money than the Leopold. They should sell them down your way.

A friend of mine has a Burris. Its a clear scope, but I have trouble seeing the X-hairs at low light.
