both cartages are close together but the way i see it the 35 has the edage in knock down power where the 338 has the edge in range and penatration due to grater section dincity.
both cartages are liget now "non-wildcat" rem still loads the 35w and weatherby loads the 338/06 so ammo should be avalible.
which cartage do you think is better and why?
witch would be easer to have rebaralled a 742 rem "auto" or 721 rem 'bolt"
if you were to have one rebaraled which would it be?
or would you just look for another rifle?
with me both guns are about the same neather of them are in my faviort actions "single shot or leaver"
if i rebaraly it would more than likely be due to money of the project or eas of conversion.

From what Ive read the 338/06 is a bad round. I would prefer it over a 35w. I think it would be much easier to convert a 742 over to it than a 35w.

I had a 35w when I was 18, first gun I ever bought and have kick my a## ever since for selling it.
