If I went to the rest of the Administrators with this idea, would anyone actually participate?

I was thinking a best bass and maybe a best stringer that could include any fish or mix of to include salt water stringers.

Would Bugle Mouth Bass count? ;D I'm not much of a Bass fisherman, but I would be in for the best mixed stringer. Maybe you could put a poll up with several different species of fish such as Bass, Crappie, Catfish, Striper ect. and let the top three vote getters have a "best stringer" contest each. It would be a good idea to send a blanket email once the poll is up to spark interest.

Secondly, I'm not sure I understand the poll you want to put up.

Some people call carp bugle mouth bass. What I was saying about the poll was to put 8-10 different kinds of fish on there and let the members vote on which ones they would like to have a "best stringer" contest on. The top three vote getters would then have a contest of their own............Know what I mean now?

Got it.
But I was thinking the best stringer could be a "mixed bag". And could even include saltwater.
Do you think we'd get more entries that way?

I like the contest ideas. The only problem with 'mixed bag' is that some species are larger than others. For example, a stringer of a sea bass & a grouper will outweigh just about any freshwater stringer.

The majority of people on this board now are fresh water folks. I dont see anything wrong with having a salt and fresh water deal.
