Bluegills all the way. There's something about the texture and sweetness of the meat. The bones are a pain but taste is worth the trouble.

Going with Blue on this one, Yellow Perch Something about fish that are caught while icefishing, they taste a lot better than when caught in open water.

I still cant get over the northerners eating Eisenhowers. You mean Yellow Perch? We call them government perch around here and they are delicious. They don't get very big in the lake but they get 1/2 to 2lbs. in the river. Remind next January and I'll take down on the Savanah River below Clarks Hill dam and we'll catch a boatload on small shiners. They are very tasty.

Slayer --- I have caught Yellow Perch 15 + inches long, seen a few that hit the 16 inch mark.
The average is 10 inches or so.

Catfish, crappie, & trout.
I haven't eaten a bluegill since I was a kid and we'd catch 'em and wag 'em home. They'd be dead as a hammer by the time we got there so they'd get cooked because my dad would let them go to waste.
