I just want to go try out my old techniques. I've cranked my boat up twice inthe last seven months. And both of those times it was to go goose hunting.

Here in Ohio the water temperature in most of the ponds is in the low to mid 40’s, not a lot of Bass activity going on. Getting a few on Black jigs with a blue or black pork frog.
The Walleyes are making the spawning run up the rivers. Some folks are getting a few. I don’t fish the rivers, but we are catching some in Lake Erie, not a bunch but some in the 8 to 11 pound range.
The Musky will be hitting live bait and slow trolled inline spinners soon.
About another month and a half and the Smallmouth will be on the rocks in Erie, always a fun time, them brown bass get pretty wild.
Did well on the Crappie ice fishing this past winter.
Everyone ---- Have a good year fishing. ------ Don’t forget, take a few fish for the table and release what you don’t need. When your holding that fish, the future of fishing is in your hands.

I let my boat sit last yr. Its been in the water more already this yr. My son & I have been tearing the crappie up. I've been up since 5am today4-30-05 hoping the rain & wind will blow out & we can hit the lake. I'm not sure if its gonna clear till tommorrow I'll go then if today doesn't clear up ;DI got to fill the freezer with crappie fillets before the spawn is over.
