With the warm weather we've been having here in Ohio, I had to get my boy out and fishing. We went to a fellas farm pond I know and he got himself a couple of real nice channel cats. This one was his largest ever. It came in on my scales at five lbs. Nice thick head on this male. I didnt fish any, but boy was he happy to get to try out his new rod and reel.

Thats a dandy. I bet he'll wear that smile for awhile. Good looking farm pond too. Hopefully some of our local pay lakes will start opening soon.

The guy that owns the place lives behind my grandparents. That pond was stocked years before he moved in. That pond has the most beautiful mature slate blue color channel cats in it, as you can see from the pic. Heck that pond couldnt be more than a quarter acre, but he has some really nice sized channels and largemouth in there, as well as slab sized bluegill hybrids and crappie. Heh..heh..heh..your right, compared to my boy that fish looks 15lbs. or so You would never think watching someone else catch fish would be much fun when you arent, and then you have kids and it all makes total sense. Peace, Bill
