Hunt4fun1 --- Try the snelling knot on this link. I use it on 20 lb. test line. I have never used it on any line lighter than 15lb. -- can't say if it will work on the light lines. www.noreast.com/knots/knotsindex.cfm

For crappie pole fishing, I like the lighter line so if you get hung in the brush, you just lose the hook and not the whole rig.

flhuntress --- I like the Palomar knot also. As a matter of fact, it my be one of the best knots for some of the super lines. I use Berkley Fireline on most of my bottom bouncing rigs and when trolling cranks. The Palomar is the knot that does the trick on Fireline.
I make live-bait spinner rigs, on the two and three hook rigs I use one of the snelling knots or a Uni-Knot.

Hunt4Fun I tested several knots on load scales and against other knots. The polamar is in the top 3 knots for strength and number one for ease in tying and learning to tie. The 92% of line strength far exceeds my maximun drag setting (65-70% of line strength). I can tie a polomar with either hand in the dark and it meets my needs Contact me for even stronger knots if you plan on extreme fishing with high drag settings.
