The area around our city dump is having problems with rats and they have decided to hold a controled rat shoot. I'll be there with with my .243 every night this weekend. ;D ;D ;D

My Ruger M77/22mag. would get the job done, also!
Have a Leopould 3x9x25mm scope mounted for grey and fox squirrels.

Hi All, Errrrrr isn't a .243 just a bit of overkill? surely a .22r/f would do an excellent job and be cheaper and quiter to boot  I can just imagine the red mist when that .243 hits them  |

I like to use those .22 CB's [cci makes them] they are cheep to shoot quiet and KILL rats & squirrells like a charm!!  |

that would be tons of fun.....i usually have my own rat season but haven't seen one since last year.
just be careful if a ton of people show up.
