i'm usually a squirrel only but rumor has it they'll be opening up for bobcats soon...i might take one but don't think they are a critter that i'd want to take multiples of.

Well I've been tryin for a coyote this year were I'm deer hunting, but no luck so far. the new place I'm on this year is suppose to have quite a few running around. I would love to stick one with my bow, but I'll settle with the rifle, which ever way they show up.

i'm with ya ds. if it runs, it dies. then it winds up in my skillet or crock pot....or the fur shop. only thing i haven't hunted is geese and ducks, and it won't be too long before i change that

Duck is really looking forward to Jan 2nd when deer season is over...we are waging war on the squirrels....they are everywhere it seems...Patrci SC is a santcuary for them ...glad we are outside city limits..he saw some fox squirrels the other day...wants to get ne mounted if he gets it....man it was cool...solid black with white tuffs of fur on its ears
we have alot of bobcat here...I want to get one so bad..a big male...I was wondering what would be the best weapon to use...I don't want to hit him with the 06... want to leave something for the taxidermist...I wonder if a 22 lr to the head would do the trick

If you do shoot it with the big gun bust its guts. If you go in where there is any bone at all it will tear the hell out of the skin. Learned that the hard way.

A 22lr will work just fine, just make sure you hit him good. There is a lot more fur there than you think.

Keep the skull of the bob, that would look cool bleached sitting on the counter.

Mostly deer anymore. Occasionaly I squirrel hunt. We have 'yotes around here but I haven't seen any where I hunt at. I did see a fox a few years back but as cold as it was he did not have enough meat on his bones to mess with. Heck it would have had to have been a decent sized deer on that day.
I need to get serious about some squirrel population reduction this comming up year. There used to be a guy that lived here that shot every tree rat he saw , season or not. They have made their comeback and are getting to nuiscance levels.
