What do ya'll shoot? I think the 3 inch is PLENTY of bang.
Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on size and loads.

I bought a box of Winchester Supreme Double X Magnum loads yesterday. I did buy the 3 1/2 inch shells in the 2 1/4 oz. # 6 shot. I figured I'll most likely be taking longer shots at Fall turkeys so I got the 3 1/2 inch shells.

Thats what I use, but usually have a 3.5" #4 behind it incase one runs a bit and stops after the first one is floppin. I killed a jake at around 65yds with the 4s after killing a long beard at under 10yds with the 6s once.

Yikes!!! Too much rearward energy for me, kills on one end and wounds on the other. Certified wimp am I. When I hunted with a shotgun I always used 2 3/4" #5's and killed birds out to 40 yards. Ed

Ed That's what I used until I got a turkey gun. The old field gun would been just fine. The new gun will not cycle 2 3/4 inch shells. I tried.
