Does anyone else have a Fall season?
What kind of call do you use on a Fall bird?
I think we are gonna hunt Fall birds this year and I have never hunted Fall birds and I'm not sure I'd know what I was doing. The place where we hunted dove today was COVERED UP in turkeys.
I'd appreciate any strategy anyone has to offer.

We've got a good fall season, but honestly I've never hunted them during that time of the year.
It might just be me but it seems like they would be easier to hunt in the fall, they flock up and it's not that unusual to see more than one good gobbler in a flock.
If I did hunt them I would look for alot of scratching and just wait till they come back, Lord knows I've seen tons of them in the fall deer hunting.

A good mouth call works wonders during the fall season. I f you can hear them callin they can hear you. Watch how mutch you call though I've spooked 'em off before, especially works when hunting in a deer blind with a feeder!!
Try it and let me know.
Lord knows fall season is nothin like the spring. They aint nearly as horney ;D

Ive always heard about anything will call em in in the fall. We aint got a season here though.

especially works when hunting in a deer blind with a feeder!! Yeah......get caught shooting a turkey close to a feeder in Texas and let me know what the fine is so I'll remember why I don't do that. I know what kind of call to use, I just need to know how to use it. Do clucks work better or what? |

I hate that too DS.. I wanna get one so bad and it seems like a turkey explosion this year..good gracious you boys in GA andd NC running your birds here or what?April 1st through May 1st is the season here except game zones 6 and 11..they get to start march 15th
